Revo Smart Cupping Red Light Therapy

Lessons from a Fit life.

Working out (consistently) adds 10 years to your life, and quality to those years. So why isn’t everyone doing it? One reason is injury. Work out enough and you’re going to twist something, or pull something, or have some random pain that comes out of seemingly nowhere. I’m not a Doctor or a therapist; I can’t diagnose or prescribe treatment; but what I do have are a set of tools, tools I have acquired over a long career, and these tools can mean the difference between being injured (short term) and being hurt. I have a new tool: the Revo Smart cupping red light therapy Massager.

What is it?

The Revo smart cupping red light therapy massager sounds like a $19.99 piece of crap that advertises on late night TV. Only this one costs $50 and get this, it actually works.

Cupping?

Cupping is an ancient practice that utilizes “suction to pull on your skin and increase blood flow to the affected area.” Ancient cupping techniques involved placing heated cups on the skin to cure an array of maladies.

Red Light Therapy?

And now for the red light therapy. “The red and near-infrared light works by stimulating the mitochondria within each skin cell, giving the cells more energy. With this newfound energy, the skin can better repair itself.”

Sounds like snake oil

Ancient remedies and red light mitochondria sounds like complete bullshit. As a matter of fact traditional science laughs at cupping, calling it “nonsense” and “laughable”.

Then how come it keeps working?

  • Tried it on a reluctant client with chronic neck pain. It worked so well she bought 3 of her own and uses them daily. She even travels with them.
  • Tried it on a client with chronic low back pain. Instant relief. He bought one.
  • My Wife’s months long back pain was eliminated in one 20 minute sessions.
  • My client’s long term back pain was completely eliminated in 5 minutes. They returned a week later and said that since using the light they’ve been completely regular for the first time in ages. They bought one as well.

I’ve sold like a dozen of these things. Revo- have your people call my people; let’s talk endorsement deal.

I’ve worked with all these people for years. We’ve tried all sorts of things over the years and they aren’t shy about telling me when something isn’t working, especially my wife; she enjoys telling me when I screw up.

They keep buying their own Revo’s!

I should also add that I’ve tried it on people, like myself, with little to no effect. There isn’t a treatment in existence with 100% efficacy.

I believe…

Pain is a signal the brain uses to create change.

The nervous system works in a feedback loop. It receives sensory information through the skin, relays that information to the brain, whereupon the brain interprets the information and creates an output response; i.e. skin touches the stove, heat signal goes to the brain, the brain creates a pain signal demanding you remove your hand.

The quality of the inputs (sensation) will increase the quality of the output. Should there be a sensory deficit from injury the brain will call attention to that deficit via pain signals.

At a minimum Cupping and red light therapy invigorates the skin (largest sensory organ in your body btw). Increased blood flow from the red light and cupping improves circulation, nourishment, waste removal, elasticity and sensation in that local area. Makes sense then that improving all those things listed above improves the feedback loop, which relieves pain.

I’m not a Doctor; I can’t diagnose your pain or prescribe treatment. What I am is a guy with a set of tools, an open mind and no endorsement deal (yet) from Revo.
