If reading about the Average American’s Fitness scares you I want you to know something: It scares me too.
And we’’re only a few good decisions from changing all of it.
3 months.
13.036 weeks.
91.25 days.
2190.2 hours.
One of the most googled questions in fitness is: How long will it take to see results?
It may take less; may take more; but 3 months in and you’re gonna notice.
Three months in and at least half of that top caption can come under control.
I like this post bc it has some great actionable goals.
I’ve read books like ‘motivational interviewing’ and ‘Start with why’; I think I’ve even understood them. But for my money nothing is a more powerful motivator than a concrete, measurable goal. That caption at the top has 12 actionable goals.
Let’s take a quick look.
- Deadlift your bodyweight- start small. Chip away. Increase 10% every week. Give it 3 months.
- Sleep through the night– stop eating by 6, stop screens by 6:30, buy a weighted blanket and black out shades. Give it 3 months.
- Eat less sugar- I’ve scaled this mountain. It’s not as hard as you think. Believe me when I say if I can quit sugar for 3 months then just about anyone can.
You’re more remarkable than you give yourself credit for. You’re stronger than you know. You have more discipline.
And someone with more excuses figured out how to accomplish whichever goal you pick.
Read that last one again. It got me through a few tough times.
Don’t settle for average. There’s nothing fit about the Average American’s Fitness.
You’re just a few small decisions (and about 3 months) from feeling transcendent.
