Another Fit approved Holiday gift guide

Lessons from a Fit life.

It’s that time of year again. That time where you ask yourself, ‘what am I going to buy for the fitness freak in my life?’

Lucky for you I’ve got some ideas. But I have to ask…

How much do you love this fitness freak?

The Friend Zone

You care about this person but you don’t want them to get the wrong idea. This gift says I care, I thought about you, but I’m not breaking the bank to impress you (even though you may want to).

I’m recommending the Neck Cloud ($19.99) for this one. Do you know someone with a stiff neck and rounded shoulders? Someone who spends hours chained to their desk bent over their computer screen? Have them lie down for 10 minutes on this inexpensive, ergonomic neck relaxer.

I’ve measured 1/4” to 1/2” height increases in my clients after using this. All in all it’s a great, inexpensive gift that just about any semi-stressed adult will LOVE!

The Minimal Effort Gift

This is the gift you give someone you’ve been with forever, i.e. You don’t need to impress them, and they’ll admonish you for spending too much money on their Holiday gift. This is the person you agree in advance not to spend more than $100 on.

The Hypervolt hand held massage gun is $119 bucks on Amazon right now but I already recommended this one last year (at a higher price).

How about the Rollga Standard ($45)- a grooved foam roller that allows your “Spine, bones, & tendons drop into THE GROOVES to prevent compression, damage, or bruising.” I begin nearly every session with about 5 to 6 minutes of foam rolling. We have a whole rack of rollers. This is the one clients select 90% of the time. This is a great, useful gift. Not cheap, not expensive. It hits the sweet spot.

The Statement Gift

This gift if you’re in the doghouse looking to get out, or if you’re looking to emphatically state your intentions. In either case The Ancore ($599) versatile and compact cable trainer is your go to gift this year.

This is perfect for someone who lifts and has a little home gym space. Mount it to your wall, or to any stable beam in the house and you have the equivalent of one of those giant cable machines at the gym that takes up about 2% of the space. Their perfect: small, light weight, solidly built.

From me to me

As I have said in the past Private Training is a gift you shouldn’t buy for others (think about the messaging). Treat yourself to a Private Training package at FIT this year. FIT has ALL these gadgets, and Trainers who know how to use them. This is undoubtedly the best gift you can give to yourself.

Nothing feels better than giving the perfect gift to someone you care about. I wish you a Happy Holiday season and may every gift you give be the one everyone else covets.
